Mrs. Rivera, 5th Grade

Everyone is born smart.  The decisions we make are what sometimes aren't so smart.  Make good decisions.

This week's word from Mrs. Rivera

(2010-12-21)The week before Christmas break was a tough, busy, and exciting week.  Tough because we were finishing projects, such as the science foldables, reviewing Geometry concepts, working on Explorer's Encyclopedias and studying for the big Science Matter test.  Busy because there was lots to do in class to prepare for the new year and exciting because a much anticipated and needed break was coming up.

The gingerbread houses were fabulous!  The students did a magnificent job.  So creative.  I'm so proud of all of them.  I must say that one house did stand out above the rest.  I will announce the winner of the most creative gingerbread house first thing when we come back from break.  Parents, thank you so much for the contributions you made to our gingerbread house making holiday fun.

Have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!!!!
